ABOUT THE BOOK
Julia Gilliland has always been interested in the natural world around her. She particularly enjoys her outings to the cavern near her father's homestead, where she explores for fossils and formations, and plans to write a book about her discoveries. The cave seems plenty safe--until the day a mysterious intruder steals the rope she uses to find her way out.
Rafe Kincaid has spent years keeping his family's cattle ranch going, all without help from his two younger brothers, who fled the ranch--and Rafe's controlling ways--as soon as they were able. He's haunted by one terrible day at the cave on a far-flung corner of the Kincaid property, a day that changed his life forever. Ready to put the past behind him, he plans to visit the cave one final time. He sure doesn't expect to find a young woman trapped in one of the tunnels--or to be forced to kiss her!
Rafe is more intrigued by Julia than any woman he's ever known, but how can he overlook her fascination with the cave he despises? And when his developing relationship with Julia threatens his chance at reconciliation with his brothers, will he be forced to choose between the family bonds that could restore his trust and the love that could heal his heart?

My Review:
I honestly could not share just how much I have enjoyed reading "Out of Control" by Mary Connealy. I've found another amazing author and with this book being the first in the "Kincaid Brides" Series I know I will be reading more from her!
In Out of Control Julia is a strong willed woman and at times can be oblivious to the danger around her. This proves to be a gift at times and a curse in others. She loves to venture out and explore or as she calls it...."clear her head." She spends countless hours in the cavern and this is where the mystery begins as well as where she receives a kiss from a stranger. The stranger happens to be Rafe Kincaid. He rescues Julia and together they begin a journey to find out who attempted to trap her in that cavern. The cavern is the last place Rafe wants to return to but spunky Julia insists upon returning.
Living in the 1800's poses many difficulties and Julia's life is a perfect example of this. Rafe has had his share as well, he longs to have his family back together, but he also is falling for Julia. Will they be able to find who wants to hurt Julia and will Rafe be able to work things out with his brothers?
Out of Control is a wonderful read. I seriously took this with me everywhere....I just did NOT want to put it down AT ALL!
A 5 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥'s for SURE!!
