Every Bride Needs a Groom ~ Review

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Somewhere in a sea of tulle and taffeta, satin and crepe, Katie Fisher needs to find a key ingredient of the perfect wedding--the groom.
Small-town girl Katie Fisher is busy planning her fairy-tale wedding. Anyway, she's sure he'll be getting down on one knee any time now. And a one-of-a-kind designer dress doesn't just fall out of the sky right when you need it.

But when Katie's boyfriend takes a job in another town and breaks up with her--on the very same day she wins her dream dress--her world is turned upside down. Dare she go to Dallas to claim her prize? And will the hunky pro basketball player who runs the beyond-swanky bridal shop--yeah, you read that right--discover her humiliating secret if she does?

MY THOUGHTS:

OH. MY. GOSH! I LOVED this book!! I LOVED this family and all their quirkiness !! I could totally relate on certain parts and when it came to Queenie and Aunt Alva, well, I felt as if I was reading a story about my great grandmother and her family. A woman, whom I absolutely adored!! I just fell in love with Alva & Queenie!! They were so funny and full of spit & vinegar, (as my great grandmother would say). Deep in their hearts they find that their love for one another is so strong, and can heal even the deepest of wounds!

Katie is a doll! She is so down to earth and loves her family, and her home town, with everything in her. Her aspirations for her future are like that of so many young girls! You date the same guy forever and so, of course, the next step is to marry him, have kids, and live in your small town forever! Katie's Mom and Dad love her and her brothers and hope that all the kids choose to stay in Fairfield. But when things don't go according to Katie's "plan" she embarks on a new journey in a new city.

This journey takes her to Dallas and to a Bridal Studio owned by one of the very best designers in the business! All of the employees at the Studio just fall in love w/Katie.  Brady, the Owner's son, plays professional basketball but is out due to knee issues. He has agreed to temporarily help out his Mom in the bridal studio. Brady and Katie develop a great friendship, as well as all of the girls that work at the studio! It's like a whole new family for Katie! But will she be able to forget her first love? The more time she spends with Brady the more she begins to let go of her past and look forward to her future! Will that future include Brady?

I am so grateful to have read & reviewed this book! I laughed out loud too many times to count! I fell in love with these families and highly recommend this book to ANY & ALL!!

Thanks Revell for allowing me this book in exchange for my honest review!!
