Someone Like You ~ Review

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Single mom Julia Dare has a lot on her plate.
A brand new Christian, Julia is busy trying to run her own business, spend time with her widowed mother, and raise her young son, Max, despite his father’s less-than-ideal influence on him. When a big account from her event-planning business sends her to the Caliente Springs resort, she’s shocked to come face-to-face with Zeke Monroe, the resort’s general manager and her college sweetheart.
With his faith in tatters, Zeke Monroe is determined to keep the historic Caliente Springs resort running despite financial difficulties. But when Julia walks back into his life, he can’t ignore the feelings she stirs up. As they work together on an important client’s dream wedding, the fate of the resort soon depends on their success. When Zeke and Julia are pushed to their limits both personally and professionally, will their history put up walls between them or bring them together?

MY THOUGHTS:
This is the first book by Victoria Bylin and I am so excited that I have found yet another author that I LOVE! I am so looking forward to reading her other books but let's not get ahead of myself here....
Someone Like You is such a wonderful book! From the first pages to the last I was hooked! I love when people get a 2nd chance at love and Zeke and Julia do just that! But this book isn't all about love, it takes on some serious issues that people deal with! I truly appreciated how the author  didn't shy away from those issues, but in those issues, she shared Gods love and the Hope we all have in HIM. I think so many people will relate with this book and because of that I would highly recommend it!!! Heart of a Bookworm gives Someone Like You 5 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥'s

Her One and Only - Review and GIVEAWAY!!

Her One and Only

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Her One and Only (Bethany House, May 2016)
After ten years in the NFL, super star Gray Fowler is accustomed to obsessive fans.
But when Gray starts receiving death threats from a stalker, his team hires an executive protection agency to guard him until the culprit is caught. Dealing with bodyguards 24/7 is a headache, especially when one of them is a young, beautiful woman. How can a female half his size possibly protect him better than he can protect himself?
Dru Porter is a former Marine, an expert markswoman, and a black belt–none of which saved her from disaster on her last assignment. In order to rebuild her tarnished reputation, she’s determined to find Gray’s stalker and, since relationships between agents and clients are forbidden, avoid a romantic attachment between herself and the rugged football player with the mysterious past.
Yet every secret that leads Dru closer to the stalker also draws her closer to Gray. As the danger escalates, they’ll survive only if they can learn to trust their lives—and their hearts—to one another.
MY THOUGHTS:
The is the final book in the Porter Family Series by Becky Wade and I have to say... "I loved it and am sooo sad to have to say goodbye to Porter's!'
Finally, Dru got her story! I was patiently (well, maybe not completely, but you know) waiting for Dru's story!!! She is one strong lady, yet she isn't over the top at all! She has such a sweet heart, can be vulnerable at times, and I just love her!! She finds herself as Gray Fowler's bodyguard and as time goes by the chemistry between these two..... OH MY!!! It. Is. Awesome!!!!
Gray isn't the slightest bit concerned about his potential stalker, which makes things difficult for Dru! She is ready for the challenge and Gray doesn't mind at all having this beautiful and spunky girl "protect" him!
Her One and Only is such a FANTASTIC book! Definitely one that you will want to read and make time for because you will  DEFINITELY NOT want to put it down!!! Heart of a Bookworm gives  Her One and Only 5 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥'s

    The Inheritance ~ Rivew

    The Inheritance
The Inheritance (Bethany House, April 2016)
The death of the clan patriarch has thrown the tiny Shetland Islands community of Whale’s Reef into turmoil.
Everyone assumed MacGregor Tulloch’s heir to be his grand-nephew David, a local favorite, but when it is discovered that MacGregor left no will, David’s grasping cousin Hardy submits his own claim to the inheritance, an estate that controls most of the island’s land. And while Hardy doesn’t enjoy much popular support, he has the backing of a shadowy group of North Sea oil investors. The courts have frozen the estate’s assets while the competing claims are investigated, leaving many of the residents in financial limbo. The future of the island—and its traditional way of life—hangs in the balance.
Loni Ford is enjoying her rising career in a large investment firm in Washington, DC. Yet in spite of her outward success, she is privately plagued by questions of identity. Orphaned as a young child, she was raised by her paternal grandparents, and while she loves them dearly, she feels completely detached from her roots. That is until a mysterious letter arrives from a Scottish solicitor. . . .
Past and present collide in master storyteller Phillips’s dramatic new saga of loss and discovery, of grasping and grace, and of the dreams of men and women everywhere.

    MY THOUGHTS:

The Inheritance is a great book, despite the fact that it took me quite a while to get "into it!!'   I LOVE how Mr. Phillips went back in time, and then to present!! Meeting the folks in Shepherd Community was such a treat! I would love to go visit but let me just tell you, Mr. Phillips does a phenomenal job at making you feel as if you are right there!
If you like historical novels, The Inheritance is for you! Just stay with it :) You'll be glad you did!!

Lolli and Pop find Kindness - Book 1 in the Fruit of the Spirit Series ~ Review

    ABOUT THE BOOK:

Finding God's "Fruits of the Spirit" has never been more fun! Early readers will follow the adventures of little Lolli Cake and her beagle named Pop. In this first book of nine, the duo discover kindness which can sometimes be difficult to find especially when it may mean giving up something you love.

    MY THOUGHTS:

What a precious book this is!! The story has everything kids love... best friends playing make believe, a oh so cute new puppy, and learning a lesson on kindness! The author does such an amazing job giving examples for Lolli to learn about being kind to others, as well as, introducing the Fruits of the Spirit!  I look forward to reading this one over and over to my grandchildren!! I will anxiously be awaiting for the next book and all that come after that one!! If you love reading to your children/grandchildren, or have a beginning reader in your home, this book is AWESOME!! It would be a great gift to purchase for a teacher classroom, or maybe even your church library!

Thank you Rachel Sinclair for allowing me to read and review this complimentary book in exchange for my honest opinion!! Heart of a Bookworm gives Lolli and Pop 5 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥'s
